Jeffrey R. Smith takes over as editor for Canadian Employment Law Today
Effective this issue, Jeffrey R. Smith is the new editor of Canadian Employment Law Today. Jeffrey joined Thomson Carswell, publishers of CELT, in 1998 as a content editor, specializing in securities publications. Most recently, before joining CELT, he was an editorial supervisor for the Canadian Abridgment line of products.
He has also worked on other Thomson Carswell newsletters, including Digest of Municipal & Planning Law and the Employers’ Human Rights & Equity Report. He was a former sports writer for OHL News and has been contributing to Canadian Employment Law Today since 2006.

Todd Humber, editor of the publication since 2002, has been promoted to the role of managing editor for the Canadian HR Reporter group, which includes Canadian Employment Law Today.
John Hobel, the former managing editor, replaces George Pearson as publisher for the Canadian HR Reporter group. George retired at the end of 2006 following a long career in the publishing industry.
