Retailer Forever 21 is under fire for allegedly implementing an English-only policy in its San Francisco store.
The California Department of Fair Employment and Housing filed a lawsuit this week, accusing the fashion chain of discrimination.
The suit accuses the store of retaliating against three Spanish-speaking employees who'd complained after allegedly being told that they had to communicate in English with customers and other employees.
State law prohibits English-only policies, except in rare circumstances.
The company denies having such a policy, saying it's "committed to diversity and inclusion" in all of its stores.
